MAVIS STAFFORD VK3KS (SK)
Mavis was first licenced in 1939, and held a licence for over 70 years.
In 1975, she was one of the founding members of ALARA, and many early meetings were held at her home.
She became VK3 State Representative from 1977 to 1982
In 1983 she became ALARA’s Historian, and wrote the History of ALARA from its beginning in 1975 to 1989
In August 1980 Mavis became the ALARA Awards Custodian, continuing in this position until 1991
ALARA bestowed Honorary Life Membership on her in 1983

Dorothy (Dot) Bishop VK2DDB later VK2DB.
Dot became the VK2 State Representative and was known to have had an ALARA table at the Gosford Hamfest in 1991.
She has now been VK2 Rep. for 33 years.
She became Editor of the ALARA Newsletter in 1992 a position she held for 20 years! (2012)

2009 Marilyn had served 27 years of continuous service on the committee. She was presented with a certificate and an amber pendant.
Marilyn was the only President to date, to have held that office twice.
2013 Marilyn re-joined the committee as Awards Custodian and still holds that position.
